About

I'm a full-time working mom and Ph.D. in education who loves Montessori and applying it at home with my daughter Sophie. We live in Texas and enjoy traveling, the outdoors, and sharing our Montessori journey with other families! I currently work in instruction and technology for a large private school, but prior to my current role I was an elementary school teacher and reading tutor. I also spent many years nannying, babysitting, and running a summer camp for toddlers through elementary aged children throughout high school, college, and my early 20s. My undergraduate degree is in early childhood education, my master's degree is in educational psychology and technology, and my Ph.D. is in instructional design and learning technologies. I have been informally studying Montessori since my daughter Sophie was two months old, having taken numerous courses, read many books, and spent most of my free time learning about Montessori at home and Montessori education in the early years.
